An unusual wind direction, N-NE, and this attempt had been on my radar for some time; I knew it had already been attempted, but I had no idea of the result, let alone where it would take off: so I simply tried. MA-GI-QUE!

April 13 & 14, 2024, a first for Club Sak À Volé & A2L-Parapente Guadeloupe: precision landing in competition on an unprecedented model; Always the world in flight as "battle" by groups of 3 already in the air, while 2 other groups of 3 pilots also await their turn. Each pilot is called by radio, according to his bib, to present himself on approach to the target & has 90 seconds to be in "downwind leg" of his PTU. For our test event last year, we carried out 6 runs with 10 pilots in less than 3 hours! And there are always people in the air, in a "waiting box" & in the approach zone: 2 separate, secure areas. Possibility of relocating the competition to the island of Désirade in the event of a S-SE wind. The return ferry ticket is not included in the registration fee, and costs between €15 and €37 extra: the most beautiful soaring in the Caribbean. For the first members from mainland France to register, the club will provide free accommodation for pilots and their families from Friday evening to Monday morning at members' homes !!!!

Without doubt one of the most beautiful lagoons in the archipelago & in the Caribbean, in my opinion. Definitely! Only Cuba (where I did some of my best soaring...) can rival it! Landing on the beach at Fifi &... lobster lunch. Just wahouuuu!

From October to April, every year: a veritable aerial trek. You move around enough to change the scenery & slowly enough to take the time to observe it!

November 2019: the magic of a first, taking off from La Citerne & landing 3h45 later on the Grande Anse beach in Deshaies!
